Winston Damarillo
Chief Executive Officer  

 

Winston Damarillo is the chairman of the board of directors of G2iX. Winston is a serial entrepreneur with a proven track record of building and creating value for successful technology start-ups.  

 

Currently, the chairman of Global Gateway Innovation Exchange (G2iX), the innovation platform that enables rapid development of IT startups, Winston has founded multiple disruptive companies including Exist, the award-winning leader in software development for the enterprise, Morph Labs, a comprehensive cloud computing platform enabler for enterprise and service providers and MaestroDev, a collaborative software development automation company. 

 

His past entrepreneurial endeavors include several companies which he grew to profitability and subsequently sold to major IT players: Gluecode Software, an open source application infrastructure company which was acquired by IBM in 2005, Logicblaze acquired by Iona Technologies in 2007, and most recently, Webtide, acquired by Intalio in 2009.  

 

Prior to his entrepreneurial endeavors, Winston was among the highest performing venture capital professionals at Intel, having led the majority of his investments to either a successful IPO or a profitable corporate acquisition. 

 

Winston is one of the prestigious Young Global Leader (YGL) honorees for 2010 and an active participant of the World Economic Forum, a place where young leaders envision and create a brighter future. He is a key driver in the development of the Philippine IT industry as a board member and international marketing director for the Philippine Software Industry Association, a non-profit organization that promotes the growth and global competitiveness of the Philippine software industry. Winston is also a trustee of the Ayala Foundation USA, an organization committed to social development initiatives for Filipinos in the Philippines and around the world.

 

Winston holds a B.S. in Industrial and Mechanical Engineering from the De La Salle University.  

 

 

Guy Naor
CTO, Morph Labs

 

Guy Naor serves as Chief Technology Officer of G2iX’s Cloud Computing business after founding Morph Labs in 2007. Guy is a veteran of the computing and technology world since 1981. Guy’s technology experience spans evolution and revolution eras, where he was involved with multiple companies and projects, working in a wide variety of computing platforms from mainframes to hand held devices as well as dozens of languages and operating systems. In his most recent role prior to Morph Labs, Guy served as CTO of Famundo, a Web 2.0 start-up.

 

Prior to that, he worked with Exist, another G2iX company, as a consultant; led the development of GoldMine at FrontRange Solutions and had served as an advisor and a consulting architect on a variety of Web 2.0 products. Guy has unparalleled experience in Ruby on Rails (Web 2.0 technology) and is an active member of the open source community, where his libraries and education materials are used worldwide.

 

Michael Lim
Vice President - Engineering, Exist

 

Michael Lim is vice president of engineering at Exist, responsible for ensuring that Exist stays current with emerging software technologies, tools, and development methodologies. Mike keeps a constant finger on the pulse of the industry, develops the technology strategy, and introduces relevant ideas through training, prototypes, and application of new technologies and techniques to projects. Previously, Mike held the role of CTO and was responsible for the technology development at large, including engineering, service delivery, quality assurance, research and development, and infrastructure.

 

While in Exist, Mike was part of the original team that developed Gluecode Joe now known as the IBM WasCE (WebSphere Application Server Community Edition).

 

Mike holds a B.S. in Computer Science from the De La Salle University.

 

Brett Porter
Vice President - Product Development, MaestroDev

 

Brett Porter champions G2iX's efforts in developing software development automation tools. Prior to joining the G2iX team, Brett has held positions as senior director for product development for Exist, vice president of engineering of DevZuz and Mergere, and as a team lead and architect at Fairfax Digital.

 

Brett is a director and member of the Apache Software Foundation and has been heavily involved in several open source projects since joining the Apache Maven project in 2003. He is currently a member of the Project Management Committee (PMC) for Apache Archiva, Apache Continuum, Apache Maven, and several other Apache projects. Brett is the co-author of "Better Builds with Maven", the first book about Maven 2. He is also the co-author of the Maven best practice by example book, "Apache Maven 2: Effective Implementation."

 

Jerry Rapes

Vice President - for Sales, Asia Pacific

 

Jerry Rapes is vice president for Asia Pacific sales at G2iX and is responsible for leading the sales organization and operations, including sales, business development, and alliances.

 

Jerry joined Exist in 2006 and has served under executive roles including vice president of sales and marketing and general manager. In these capacities, he has been instrumental in improving sales performance, enhancing human resources and infrastructure, and streamlining company-wide operations.

 

Prior to joining Exist, Jerry was a consultant with the manufacturing and distribution division of SGV/ Andersen Consulting, where his area of expertise involved business process improvement. Before joining SGV/Andersen Consulting, he managed a distribution network for international consumer products.

 

Jerry holds an Industrial Engineering degree from the University of the Philippines.

 

Junnie Arreza

Director, Marketing 

 

As a co-founder of Exist in 2001, Junnie Arreza brings with him close to a decade of work experience in global enterprises. His career started in IT as a software engineer in Citibank, N.A., and eventually moved to Marketing in Pepsi. From there, his passion to building companies has led him to heading numerous start ups, including several stints in publishing and online companies such as ClicktheCity.com, the most awarded travel and lifestyle website in the Philippines.

 

From 2001 to 2004, he was director for business development and marketing for Exist, establishing the company’s roots in the market. Since 2004, while based in Toronto, Junnie has helped in various ventures all linked to G2iX. This included stints for Simula Labs/DevZuz, Mergere, Logicblaze, and more recently Morph Labs.

 

He has pursued various certifications on Project Management from UCLA and in Strategic Marketing from Asian Institute of Management. He is a graduate of De La Salle Universtity with a degree in Industrial Management Engineering.

 

Aimon Bustardo

Director, Technology Operations

 

Aimon Bustardo, as director for tech operations for G2iX, oversees the systems and support administration of various G2iX offices distributed in the US and Asia Pacific. He is managing the team of global systems administration engineers as well as support engineers.

 

Prior to G2iX, Aimon was senior information architect for Morph Labs and senior systems engineer for Simula Labs, DevZuz and LogicBlaze. His three-year experience with G2iX has led to reduction on IT operating costs to less than half, achieved through eliminating outsourced infrastructure solutions, increasing stability, implementing HA/LB (High Availability and Load Balancing) and automating many previously manual tasks. He has also donated parts of an enterprise level application to the open source community while creating a custom internet portal to allow remote access of company resources.

 

Aimon graduated from Pierce College and Santa Monica College.
